01/01/02 - MX-5 MPS

MX-5 MPS was developed in coordination with Mazdas own racing company Mazda Speed, who is also behind the achievements at Le-Mans 1991. The new Miata has a lowered chassis, wider tires and a new nose with restyled headlights and an air intake.

The rear the muffler has become center mounted. The sportiness is accentuated inside with details in aluminum as well as upholstery in black leather. The engine which previously was 1.8 liters has been enlarged to 1.93 liters and the horsepower has been increased from 145 hp to 200 new horses.
