Sunday 1st of February 2026 - Monthly Cruise - The Rec Waroona

This month we are doing something different for the first Sunday of the month cruise! We are running a 180 km run up and down the scarp ending some 110 km from Perth to The Rec Hotel in Waroona for lunch with the Southern MX-5 chapter. The historic landmark formerly known as The Waroona Hotel is the perfect place to unwind and relax.

The first stage includes McNess Drive and Soldiers Road followed by the scenic drive from Byford via Jarrahdale along the edge of the Serpentine National Park to the regroup point at the Bistro by the Dam, where we will be joined by the Southern MX-5 Chapter before collectively continuing to Waroona.

The second stage is in 3 parts; we cross over the Serpentine Dam and continue via Kingsbury Drive and the South Western Highway and Dell Park Road to Dwellingup on undulating roads with some moderate twisties. From Dwellingup to Nanga Brook the road becomes much narrower and the forest closes in around you before the road opens up in the last section to Waroona with some great swervery to boot.

We meet at the Gosnells Civic Centre located between Albany Highway and Mills Road West in the parking area near Mills Road West (Click here to view a map) at 9:00 and depart 9:30am sharp.
