PAST EVENT
Friday 29th of January 2021 - Driving Clinic - Part 1 Classroom Session
Whether you are on your L's, just got your P's or have been driving for fifty years, you can improve your driving skills by attending the MX-5 Driving Clinic.
The clinic is run in two parts. Part one, a Class Room Session, is held on 29 January from 7 to 10pm at Atmosphera Events in Burswood and explains how to get the best out of your car. It prepares you for Part two on Saturday 30 January when you get to practice what you learned at the DRM Driver Training Facility at the airport.
To limit your time in the sun entrants are split in two groups with practice sessions starting at 7.30am and 9:30am. The practice session will include the use of a skid pan doing various different exercises to experience different situations where knowing what to do with your car can save your life. This will teach you how your car will react in potentially dangerous situations as well as different ways to escape these situations.
Experienced club members will help you understand the limits of your car and how to control it in situations you may experience on the road. This is an opportunity to drive your car in a safe environment, learn about advanced driving skills and gain the confidence to enjoy your driving more.
Your club encourages safe driving by subsidising your education, so it's only $30 for members. The skills learned may save your life on the road. This school caters for all skill levels, including none at all, so there's no excuse!
Most importantly, places are limited to 20 members only, so E-mail Lauren Messenger at vicepresident@mx5club.com.au to reserve your place. Entry is not confirmed until payment is made. Your name will be added to the event on the club website when your place has been confirmed.
Please deposit the payment into the clubs account by means of EFT:
Account name: Mazda MX5 Club of WA
BSB: 036001
Account number: 132341
Description: "DCinitialsurname" (in Lauren Messenger's case DCLMessenger)
Due to pedantic insurance companies it is a requirement to wear a helmet, so if you own or can borrow one (minimum Aust Standard 1698) please bring it with you. If you are unable to obtain a helmet for this event please contact Lauren Messenger at vicepresident@mx5club.com.au before 24 January.
