PAST EVENT

Sunday 24th of May 2015 - Funkhana

Open to all MX-5 owners, with preference given to Club Members. Each car can have two drivers (one in the car at a time).

This event is run on a single skid pan at the RAC Driving Centre, Grogan Road, Perth International Airport from 8:30 to 12:30. Sign-in starts at 07:40. Attendance at the Driver's Briefing is mandatory and starts at 08:15 sharp.

Each course is less than a mile long, with each driver getting at least 3 runs of each of the two different circuits.

The whole skid pan to yourself. In and out cones on a large, flat hotmix surface, as fast as you can. Mostly flat out in second gear. More fun than you can ever imagine!
You simply can't have this much fun on public roads.

This is an untimed event run under the exact same conditions
as the Autotest series and is an excellent introduction into
motorsport. No previous experience required.

No Competition Licence required.

However all other motor sport conditions apply.
1. Helmet AS1698 approved.
(With advanced notice, loans can be arranged)
2. Fire retardant, long sleeved top and long pants
(nonsynthetic eg: cotton, denim…)
3. Enclosed footwear.
4. Road licenced car in roadworthy condition.
(Brakes, tyres, leaks etc.)
5. Valid driver’s licence.
6. All loose items removed from car.
7. Windows all the way up, or all the way down.
