Road Trip 2013 - Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 September

The plan is for you to take Friday off work and make your own way down on Thursday afternoon or evening to The Imperial Hotel, in Broomehill some 300 km south of Perth.

On Friday we drive through the Stirling and Porongurup’s Ranges, explore Albany and continue via the Denmark to the Valley of the Giants for a stop at the Treetop Walk. We continue via Walpole to the Quinninup Tavern for dinner before making our way to Donnelly River Holiday Village.

On Saturday we explore the area between Augusta and Margaret River; first stop is Jewel Cave for an underground adventure. Afterwards you drive the scenic part of Caves Road at your own pace with side trips to the beach at Prevelly and Gracetown. Next is a visit to Cowtown followed by Margaret River and the tiny hamlet of Glen Brook before we make our way back to Donnelly River.

The plan is for you to collect some gourmet goodies along the way (which shouldn’t be too difficult…) for a communal dinner back at Donnelly River Holiday Village at the Old Boarding House.

The Sunday return trip heads back to Perth via Nannup, Balingup, the Capel Valley and Nanga Brook to Café on the Dam in Jarrahdale for lunch and goodbyes.

If you can’t get the time of work you can catch up with us on Friday night at Donnelly River Holiday Village and join us for the Saturday and Sunday runs

The club has booked 12 double and twin rooms with accommodation for 24 people at the Imperial Hotel and eight 2, 3 and 4 bedroom self contained cottages with accommodation for 44 people at Donnelly River Holiday Village.

Costs for the 3 day Road Trip, including Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights accommodation, continental breakfast on Friday, Friday nights dinner and the visit to Lakes Cave, are ~$325 per couple.

If you just want to do the Saturday and Sunday part the costs reduces to ~$200 per couple.
