Friday 1st of October 2010 - Kulin Bush Races

Kulin Bush Races – camping weekend away; a country race meeting in a natural arena of wildflowers.

Saturday’s festivities includes a six card horse racing program, kids, sheep and dog races, gymkhana, novelty events, children’s entertainment, live music, fireworks and delicious country style food all make for a wonderful weekends entertainment.

This is all followed by Sunday’s Great Aussie Revival Breakfast before we make our way back to Perth via York to catch up with the other Fives on the Sunday Cruise.

Staged at the picturesque setting of the Jilakin Races Track, 14 kilometres east of Kulin on the unique Tin Horse Highway, the Kulin Bush Races is the only race meeting that incorporates a natural arena of wildflowers.

In between when you want to see something else there is the Kulin Art, Craft & Photography Exhibition, Competition and Sale of Works open all weekend at the Freebairn Recreation Centre in the centre of Kulin.

Event passes, including camping at the track, are $30 for Adults / $5 for kids under 18.

The Kulin race track is 300 km east of Perth and most members are making their own way there. If you want to particpate send an email to events@mx5club.com.au. The plan is to make your own way there on Friday night or Saturday morning.

So pack your swag or tent, don't forget your partner and join us for a fantastic weekend of country hospitality.
